What is a HIT List?

The word HIT stands for “Hearts in Transition.” It’s the transition
period between the Preparation Stage and the Proclamation Stage. During this period, we identify individuals who appear to be open to spiritual matters (i.e. the curious) and they are included in the HIT List for prayer. Light Bearers will assess their openness by asking them spiritual questions such as “What are your beliefs about God?” or “Where do you do you see yourself spiritually?” If they provide an answer, it may indicate a willingness or curiosity to discuss spiritual matters further. We call these people "Seekers" (or the Curious). If they do not respond positively, Light Bearers will just talk with them about other things to maintain the connection. Perhaps there will be another opportunity later on to reach out to them. For example, when people experience trials, they become more receptive to spiritual matters. Light Bearers will pay attention to the work of the Holy Spirit in people’s lives. True Seekers, however, will be included in the HIT List.
