What happens during the Proclamation Stage?

During the Proclamation Stage, Frontliners will BRING Seekers to Christ. The word BRING is an acrostic, which means: 1) Begin RLBS, 2) Recount Conversion Stories, 3) Invite to Seeker-sensitive events or activities, 4) Narrate the Gospel, and 5) Guide toward genuine conversion. Once potential seekers have been identified and added to the HIT List, Frontliners will invite them to a four-session Bible study called RLBS (Real Life Bible Study). This bible study is free. During the first session, the Frontliner (or someone he or she assigns) will share their personal conversion story. They will explain how they came to believe in Jesus and how they decided to follow Jesus as Savior and Lord. They will briefly describe their life before conversion, including the turning point that led them to faith in Jesus. They will also highlight some of their experiences as a new born-again Christian. They will share both the challenges as well as the practical ways they overcame such challenges. They will invite them to seeker-sensitive events or activities that can open their hearts. Last but not least, they will explain the Gospel or Good News about Jesus Christ using one or more of the Gospel stories. Frontliners must make sure that they understand that they are being invited to a faith journey with Jesus together with others, and not just to change religion. They will guide them toward genuine conversion, which includes repentance, trust in Jesus, water baptism, and Holy Spirit baptism through the laying of hands. (see Acts 2:38-39)
